The bump days,

“Just looked at the sneak peeks. Oh my gosh. I thought I felt beautiful in my wedding pics. These are stunning, and I can't believe that is ME, they are my bump pics. Couldn't have picked a better photographer, they are exactly what I had envisioned”

Lauren

Let’s talk about your bump

Your bump days are seriously so special. My biggest regret was not capturing more bump images and memories myself and I would hate for you to do the same!

My journey through pregnancy really wasn't an enjoyable experience at all. Months of sickness and changes to my body left me counting down the days till it was over. This mindset really prevented me from enjoying my two pregnancies which I really do regret now.

It's funny no matter how uncomfortable, sick or scared you feel, once you deliver your bub and your bump goes down you miss it. Once it's gone is when you actually realise just how incredible your body is creating and growing another life from scratch and that is something to document!

If I could go back now and give myself one piece of advice, it would be to take the time to capture the memories of my bump rather than regret it now.

How we plan out your session?

My number one goal here is for us to plan out a session that is truely unique to you, I want the images to tell your story. To begin the planning stage we will look at a few starting questions to help us lock in a date and time for your session.

Once we have locked in the time and date, the next step is a little online questionnaire to help get to know more about you and what this session truely mean and represents to you.

Then the final step in the process is working out the styling and outfits, you know the fun stuff!

Once we have this all mapped out, I will then pop it all together in a little personalised brief which is a summary of everything we want to achieve from your session.

  • The best time of day for any outdoor session will always be golden hour, the last hour before sunset.

The main reason for this is that the sun doesn't cast any harsh shadows across your face and it also has the most perfect golden glow.

Indoor session are usually best from mid morning on.

  • As location is a big part of your session I want to make sure you have all the info you need to make the choice to truely suits you.

I have popped together a location guide of a few of my favourite locations to hold session which I will send out to you during the planning phase.

But I am always up for exploring new locations if you have something else in mind.

  • The questionnaire will be sent through with your contract and it really is a great little tool to help me understand exactly what you want to get out of your session

If you need help in anyway I am always here to guide you.

  • Once we lock your session in I will work with you on picking your outfit options for your booking. I have a detailed session guide which talks through and gives ideas on how to style but I am always here to chat one on one if that works better for you.

I also provide a client wardrobe which you are more then welcome to borrow from for your session.

  • Once we have worked through all of the above, I know that we will have everything we need to truely tell your story in session. I will pop it all together in one little document and send it through, that way we both have a copy for the day.

I seriously can’t wait to help you tell share your story

Who should I invite to my session?

This a question I often get asked and one that can truely change the vibe and outcome of your images. There is really no generic answer for everything so I have popped together a few options.

  • If you are looking for a session that is built on empowerment then a solo maternity session might be the way to go.

A true way to celebrate you and the incredible journey of strength your body is on.

  • A session with your partner is a beautiful way to capture the love and connection as you travel on this new journey together.

  • I often get asked if Mum's can bring their toddlers along to their maternity session and the answer is absolutely.

There is actually something so beautiful about capturing the moments before their new sibling enters this world.

  • I am an absolute animal lover at heart so I completely understand when people want to have their little fur babies in their memories. It's a yes from me when it comes to fur babies for any outdoor session.

Extra FAQ’s

Just a few extra questions I often get asked, but please if you have any more then I am only a email away!

  • The ideal is anywhere between 28-34 weeks as you will have a beautiful sized bump.

  • I do! When you receive your gallery you will gain access to a my online print store which has connection with a variety of professional print labs.

The one thing I always recommend is to get your images printed professionally. Heading to Kmart to print your images can end up in poor quality prints.

  • I don't. My editing style is all light enhancements with a creative element.

I really love to capture the raw beauty rather then edit to perfection.

  • live in Doreen in the North East of Melbourne although I do travel across Melbourne.

  • Locations outside of my location guide may have a travel fee pending distance.

All in-home newborn sessions have a small travel fee of $100
