Your Forever

Capturing memories doesn’t just need to be for the big milestones in life. Taking the time to create heirloom memories that you can keep forever is the perfect reason to book a family session.

Below I have popped together some key info on how we plan a family session together and how this all works. But please if you have any questions at all feel free to email me as I am always here to help.

The number one thing that all parents say to me before a family session is, “My kids will not stand still and pose” I will even put my hand up and admit I have said the same thing to my photographer about my kids! So before we go any further, I want to reassure you of one thing

NO kids will stand still and pose for a photo! And that is absolutely ok. That’s not what our journey and time together will be about. I work prominently with play and sensory prompts which will get you all interacting, having fun and just being you.

Our session together will be full of fun, moment, and dancing. I have even been known to sing a little bit of Frozen if I need to in a session to win my little clients over.

So please, don’t let your fear of how your little ones may behave hold you back from capturing these precious memories.

let’s talk about..

How do we plan out your session?

My number one goal here is for us to plan out a session that is truly unique to you, I want the images to tell your story. To begin the planning stage we will look at a few starting questions to help us lock in a date and time for your session.

Once we have locked in the time and date, the next step is a little online questionnaire to help get to know more about you and what this session truly means and represents to you.

Then the final step in the process is working out the styling and outfits, you know the fun stuff!

  • The best time of day for any outdoor session will always be golden hour, the last hour before sunset.

The main reason for this is that the sun doesn't cast any harsh shadows across your face and it also has the most perfect golden glow.

Indoor session are usually best from mid morning on.

  • As location is a big part of your session I want to make sure you have all the info you need to make the choice to truely suits you.

I have popped together a location guide of a few of my favourite locations to hold session which I will send out to you during the planning phase.

But I am always up for exploring new locations if you have something else in mind.

  • The questionnaire will be sent through with your contract and it really is a great little tool to help me understand exactly what you want to get out of your session

If you need help in anyway I am always here to guide you.

  • Once we lock your session in I will work with you on picking your outfit options for your booking. I have a detailed session guide which talks through and gives ideas on how to style but I am always here to chat one on one if that works better for you.

I also provide a client wardrobe which you are more then welcome to borrow from for your session.

  • Once we have worked through all of the above, I know that we will have everything we need to truely tell your story in session.

If you want to have a little catch up on the phone prior to your session to chat through the day then let me know and we can lock something in.

I seriously can’t wait to help you tell share your story

Extra FAQ’s

Just a few extra questions I often get asked, but please if you have any more then I am only a email away!

  • I absolutely do! Over on my pricing page, you will that I have a separate section for extended family.

  • I do! When you receive your gallery you will gain access to a my online print store which has connection with a variety of professional print labs.

The one thing I always recommend is to get your images printed professionally. Heading to Kmart to print your images can end up in poor quality prints.

  • I don't. My editing style is all light enhancements with a creative element.

I really love to capture the raw beauty rather then edit to perfection.

  • live in Doreen in the North East of Melbourne although I do travel across Melbourne.

  • Locations outside of my location guide may have a travel fee pending distance.

All in-home newborn sessions have a small travel fee of $100

  • I am an absolute animal lover at heart so I completely understand when people want to have their little fur babies in their memories. It's a yes from me when it comes to fur babies for any outdoor session.

Unfortunately I don't allow fur babies in the studio as I do have 2 of my own at home.
